About My Rates

My rates are thoughtfully structured to provide you with personalized care both within and beyond our therapy sessions. The average therapy session in the Denver area ranges from $120 to $250. I charge a fair rate based on; my years in the field, clinical experience, and level of skill, education, and specialized training. In addition, I intentionally organize my practice to maintain a lower number of clients on my caseload in order to implement and sustain the highest level of personalized care.

Payment.

Payment. All clients are responsible for payment in full at the time of service. You may pay by cash or credit/debit card, however personal checks are not an accepted form of payment. Regardless of payment method, a credit/debit card is required to be kept on file via our HIPAA compliant secure online portal in order to reserve an appointment. Please note that I strive to make therapy accessible to all who seek it. If you have any financial concerns, please don't hesitate to discuss them with me during our initial consultation.

Insurance. I am not currently in-network with any insurance providers (or EAP companies). As an “out-of-network” provider I do not have a contract with your insurance company. This allows us the benefit of autonomy, privacy, and customization when tailoring services and interventions to meet your specific mental health needs. Most of my clients use their health insurance for a partial reimbursement for the cost of treatment. If you are eligible for out-of-network mental health benefits, I will help facilitate reimbursement by providing you with a timely billing statement that includes all of the necessary information needed for clients to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance providers. It is recommended that clients who wish to use their health insurance benefits contact their insurance provider to determine if they are eligible for reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services prior to scheduling. All clients are responsible for payment for sessions at the time of service.

Cancellation Policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please do so with at least 24-hours notice. Anyone cancelling an appointment with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged their full session fee to the card held on file. Please be aware the cost of a missed session is not typically covered by insurance companies.

Good Faith Estimate.

Upon engagement in services you are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.

This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment and you may discontinue treatment at any time.

The fee for a 50-minute psychotherapy visit (in person or via telehealth) is $200.00. The frequency of therapy visits is unique to each client and is determined collaboratively with your therapist based on clinical needs. Based on a fee of $200.00 per visit, the following are examples of estimated expenses for psychotherapy services: a brief course of therapy would be six to eight sessions which would be a cost of $1200 to $1600. These sessions could be weekly or every other week or might occur on a monthly basis. A moderate course of therapy (i.e. 20 sessions) would cost $4000. Some clients choose to remain in treatment for several years or seek therapy on an as-needed basis. You have the right to terminate therapy at any time and request alternative referrals to a different provider.

You have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (which means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges).

You are encouraged to speak with your provider at any time about any questions you may have regarding your treatment plan, or the information provided to you in this Good Faith Estimate.
